Toyota Prius Plug-In Tribrid Warps Time, Space And Logic

Offbeat

The Toyota Prius is often decried as dull and uninspiring, and it appears one owner agreed as they raided their local parts store to buy every aftermarket accessory on the shelves.

Spotted in Spain by Carscoops reader Gerardo, this pimped out Prius looks like something out of a low budget Tron squeal. As with most other over the top customizations, the owner installed plenty of bling as the car has been equipped with metallic window surrounds, chrome door handles and silver trim that emphasizes the doors and wheel arches.

The hybrid model also rides on aftermarket wheels and has a multi-colored paint job. Elsewhere, we can see a chromed fuel filler cap, a blinged-out rear wiper and two different spoilers.

Since that’s clearly not enough, the owner also installed a fake four-tailpipe exhaust system and an assortment of badges including one that says “Plug-in Tribrid.” We can also see mud flaps, a Prius-branded scuff plate and metallic trim on the rear bumper.

Rounding out the highlights are only functional upgrades including tinted rear windows and side window deflectors. They don’t exactly make the Prius look any better, but at least they serve a purpose.

Thanks to Gerardo for the picture!
