Ouch…. Nissan GT-R R34 Loses It And Smashes Into A Wall During Livestream

Offbeat

This blue Nissan GT-R R34 had a really bad day at the drag strip, where it was being filmed and broadcast live on Twitch.

The car was reportedly sending power only to its rear wheels at the time of the crash, which definitely didn’t help the driver in maintaining control. Still, while we’re not exactly sure what happened, it’s obvious that this wasn’t a perfect launch.

It’s possible that the driver may not have warmed up the tires properly, and they definitely did not stay on the sticky side of the track, which just seems like such an obviously bad idea when you’re pushing a very powerful car.

The launch wasn’t ideal either, but by the time the car gripped (or the driver decided to floor the throttle), the race was lost and the wall on the other side of the track waited eagerly. Then, once the rear gave out, the crash was pretty much inevitable – and the impact surprisingly violent.

Weirdly enough, immediately after the impact, the GT-R was apparently shifted into reverse, and spun around again before coming to a halt. Hopefully the driver wasn’t injured.

Then there’s the fact that the whole thing was livestreamed, with people being able to instantly comment on what happened, typing things like “LOL”, “….” and “ah cmon”. You can catch the “live” commentary by clicking here. Of course, what can you really say during moments like these? Most people either tend to make fun or simply act shocked.
